Hey everyone... Wow this week had been such an amazing week and all the hard work has been paying off. I will start out by talking to you about the wonderful experience that we as a mission were blessed with to hear from Elder Ringwood of the 70, he is truly a man that has been called of God to serve in the current position he is in. He is a spiritually inspired person who speaks with such power and energy of heart. I have been spiritually uplifted and edified by the powerful messages that I have heard from him this past week. President Nelson picked 5 missionaries for Elder Ringwood to have a personal interview with, I have been blessed to have been one of those 5 missionaries to get to know Elder Ringwood on more of a personal level. When I walked in the room to meet with him he called on me to pray before we began, As I was praying I prayed that him and I both may be spiritually uplifted and edified as we speak, and that we may be able to talk on a spiritually high level that we may feel Gods love for the both of us at that time. It was truly an honor to speak to him. I will remember the distinct spiritual feeling that I felt as I met with this great servant of the Lord. This week I received a phone call from the Assistance to the President and they said that President Nelson needed to meet with me the next day after Zone Conference about transfers. So I went and met with him and he pulled me in his office and he explained that he has a lot of trust in me as a missionary and he expressed his sincere love that he has for me, and he said that God has once again called me to serve as a Trainer this next transfer. He explained that I did a wonderful job with Elder De Ogny and that God needs me to serve and train again, so yeah I am going to be staying here in East New York, Brooklyn. He also explained that not a lot of missionaries are called to serve as a trainer 2 times in their mission. I am excited to embark in this great service to my future companion coming straight from the MTC. It is a blessing to have this responsibilityity to serve the missionaries here in this mission. This past Saturday, I was once again blessed to have another Baptism, I was able to perform the baptismal ordinance on this great young lady Jinae Moss. I love the feeling that I get when I baptize someone. Her baptism went smooth and she was confirmed by Elder Thieme the next day. There were a few other things that I would like to talk to you all about today, but I am about out of time so I need to get going here. I love each and everyone of you, and I know that this is the greatest experience that I have ever had, being in the service of the Lord.

Hey everyone! Its me again the missionary here in Brooklyn, NY. Ha ha ha. So this coming Saturday we have a baptism! I am so excited for Jinae Moss, She is going to be a great member of the church and she is going to be such a great example to her family. We were hoping that we were going to get a lot more baptisms this transfer, but we cant ever take away anothers agency. We just do all that we can to serve the people and reach out in love for each of them. Today is Elder Thieme's (my companion) Birthday, tonight we are going out to this way nice restaurant that is right on the coast from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Brother Amato, from the branch made some dinner reservations for us on the top floor by the window that looks over the city, I am sure that it is going to be a way expensive dinner. He tells us just to enjoy it, it's his treat and something that he wants to do for us. We are all way pumped up for tonight, he told us that we have to wear our suits to dinner.
Last night Elder Thieme and I were walking and I got shot by an air soft gun, but I just kept walking and then about 30 seconds later I told Elder Thieme that I just got shot, he was like "what?" I then showed him the welt on my side where I got shot, ha ha it was funny. Little kids are crazy here, but i will tell you one thing that is that whoever shot me they shot the right person, because if he would have shot anyone else that wasn't a missionary they would have freaked out, and I just kept walking ha ha ha. It really was fun though, it reminded me of back in the day when we used to have air soft gun wars in my friends back yards, and also around our old house in Draper. Well I don't have much time left so I have to get going I love you all have a good week!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day, I definitely had the best Mothers Day ever. I was so happy that I was able to talk to my family. I know that God is real and that he really answers prayers. As I have been praying for my family there has been some things that have happened that I have been sincerely praying for, and what a blessing that is in my life to see the blessings in the life of my family members. I love this Gospel so much, I am so thankful to be a part of this great work. So yesterday I was able to explain to my family about the guy that wanted to shoot me, ha ha ha. Well let me explain. Earlier this week my companion and I were walking down the street and there was this guy sitting outside of his house, so when we went walking by he started yelling all of this stuff about how blacks are better than white people. He then said to me. "Your white butt better not be walking around here in June or you'll get shot the heck up." The word choice was much more provocative, I just dont want to publish that. Anyways... I told him that there is no worries. He then was angry that I spoke to him, he replied "As a matter of fact I am going to shoot you up right now." He got up out of his chair and quickly started walking over to me. When I saw that my companion started walking away quickly, I then turned and walked right back to the man and said, "We are missionaries and we go around and talk to people about God and Jesus Christ, we are not here to cause trouble or start trouble. We are here to serve others." His heart was immediately softened and he said, "Oh, are you one of them Latter-Day Saints?" I told him yes we are. He then Turned and walked right back to where he was sitting. It was a funny story. I had fun. Anyways I really dont have time to e-mail much today. Today we went to the Jehovah's witness' head-quarters here in Brooklyn, it was fun, but it took a long time. So I have to wrap this up. Today I also talked to President Nelson to see if it would be ok if my little brother Tyler could come out and spend a week with me in the mission field one week before he goes into the MTC. My President thinks it would be a great idea, and he would personally allow it to happen, he just haves to talk to the MTC, and see if that would be Ok. So I think that it is going to happen and I am so excited. Well I have to go now I love you all.

Hey!!! Its me again, Elder Doyle reporting from Brooklyn, NY. I am doing so great out here in this part of the world, at this current time. I love this city. It can get crazy at times though. So This week Elder Thieme and I decided to start up on a diet. Brother Amato from the branch that we are serving in gave us a Juicer. So we started this diet on juicing and we are not going to eat at fast food restaurants, or eat fatty foods. For breakfast we eat oats every morning with some fresh fruits and vegetables from the juicer. It works out so perfect. We have a lot more energy through out the day. Also every morning this whole transfer we have been working out like crazy, we either go run 2 miles every morning or do this crazy ab workout from P90X (workout program) then we do our biceps and shoulders. We also use the perfect push-up, so if I can keep this up, by the time I come back home I will be in good shape. I sure hope that is the case. This transfer so far Elder Thieme and I have found so many people that we are teaching, but it is harder here to get those people to progress, because they have a lot of things going on in there life, and I am serving in a really rough area, if you know what I mean (crime, and drugs). It is a fun area to serve in though because I meet so many crazy people here ha ha. Out here in this area we set up what we call “Media Tables,” we stand out with a table with all of the free DVD's that we offer to people and we made a big sign that says “FREE JESUS DVD'S!” We have the people gather around and write down their name address and phone number. The “Media Tables” are somewhat productive ways to find people, but it mostly attracts the type of people that just want free stuff, which happens to be about everyone here in East New York. The other day as we were doing a “Media Table” there was a guy that walked up and he signed his name and wrote that he wanted a free Bible, he then started to walk away, I explained to him that we need all of his information so that we can bring one to him. He replied,”I'm homeless” I felt really bad, but he was so sincere about growing closer to our Father in Heaven, I then just gave him a free Bible and told him to enjoy it. I hope this guy can use it and read it. The mission is so much fun when you really go out there and give it all that you've got. The spiritual experiences that I have experienced out here are eternal blessings of happiness.
So this week coming up it is going to be Mothers Day, I finally get to talk to my Family again. I love my family so much they have been so great to me as I have been out here. I am hoping to have more time to talk to my sister Ashley this time, because on Christmas I only spoke to her for a few minutes. I do look forward to speaking to each member of my family. Well It is about time for me to get going, I love all of you! Have a good week, and may everything that you all do help you grow closer to our loving Heavenly Father. Remember to always be Prayerful and humble with all that you do.

Hey everyone! This Past week has been a good week here in Brooklyn, East New York. Elder Thieme and I have been working our very hardest to reach the high goals that we set as a companionship. This past week has also been a very interesting week. You all need to understand that here in NYC you can seriously meet any type of person that you can think of. Elder Thieme got “silly stringed” by some little girls it was funny. I only got a little on me, but Elder Thieme got slammed Ha ha ha. There is a man in our branch who is such an amazing person he was baptized back in 2008; he does so much for the missionaries. He is now the new District Mission Leader. He just barely started coming back to church. He does so much for us he takes us out to dinner, he always comes teaching with us, and he has such a solid testimony of the restored gospel. My comp and I have been going around talking to people on the street that we see dancing and we ask them to teach us dance moves, it is fun I have learned a few sweet dance moves, and it is a good way to start talking to people about the gospel. So everyone watch out I am going to be quite the dancer when I get home. Ha ha ha jk. Here in this area there is always music bumpin’ in peoples cars so loud and everywhere we walk there is always music to be heard, but the sad thing is that the music is always Rap. Elder Thieme and I got off on the subway and we were walking home and right outside of the train station there were what missionaries call “Heebie Jeebies” or Hebrew Israelites. I talked about them in the past with you all. It is a denomination of Christianity that believes that Jesus was black, and they walk around with swords wearing robes. They believe that Christ is going to come and tell them to kill all of the white people. It is a religion created out of racism towards white people, full of pure hate and anger. Keep in mind that 98% of the population here is black people. So anyways Elder Thieme and I got off of the train and we saw these “Heebie Jeebies” screaming out to everyone talking about the bible full of anger in their voices. When they saw us they started screaming that “white men are the Devil!” It was funny we just walked by keeping our cool. This week we committed Andrea to be baptized on May 8th we are hoping that it all works out so that she can be baptized on that day. We are doing all that we can for her, she absolutely wants to be baptized. We are also teaching her cousin and her little bro, and they should also be getting baptized this transfer as well we are hoping that they can be able to go down on May 15th. Last week we saw a Jamaican family moving a bed into their house but they were struggling a lot and so Elder Thieme and I helped them and they were so thankful and humbled that we came and helped them. So they wanted to hear what we had to teach and who we were. Last night we went to their house and we taught them a solid lesson and the spirit was very strong. They have never been baptized, but they have a strong belief in God, so they are going to come to church this next Sunday. We are so happy for them. So yeah there is a lot of great success that should be coming up here in East New York, I am so happy to be here it is such a huge blessing in my life to be here. Well I have to get going now I love all of you. Oh and last week I wasn’t able to write any letters because I had a lot going on Last Monday I had to go to the office to pick some things up. I love you all.
